Great Minds, Bright Futures is a UK-based charity supporting almost 500 orphaned and vulnerable children across Malawi and Uganda. Through dedicated local teams, the charity provides essential daily support including food, education, healthcare, clothing and activities – helping children not only survive, but thrive.

Founder Dave Armstrong recently reflected on a visit to Malawi, sharing:
“The smiles tell me that they are doing great… children were greeting me each day with their schoolbooks, to show me the ticks and comments of ‘very good’ and ‘excellent’ from their teachers. I was thrilled.”
These moments highlight the real impact of the charity’s work – supporting children to learn, grow and build brighter futures despite the challenges they face.
Through its partnership with the charity, abtec has donated many container loads of refurbished IT equipment to support schools in Malawi and Uganda.
While this equipment may no longer be needed in the UK, it arrives as high-quality, “like-new” technology for the schools receiving it – often providing children with access to computers for the very first time.
